Kazakh President issues shoot to kill order

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev blamed foreign-trained terrorists for widespread unrest, which began as a response to a fuel price increase, but without providing evidence. “Whoever does not surrender will be destroyed. I have given the order to law enforcement agencies and the army to shoot to kill, without warning.” The president invited Russian forces into the country to quell a broad opposition movement against the government.
